According to a report on J&C Expat Services dated 29 November 2011, the Bank of the Lao PDR has released a new 2,000-kip (US$0.25) note dated 2011, marking the 36th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the birthday of the late President Kaysone Phomvihane on 13 December.
